You can find the original post in my old Google archived website here

Game day calls for epic food, and this DIY snack stadium is the ultimate way to make your party spread amazing! It's easy to assemble, customizable, and sure to be a hit with your guests, and feed everyone all day! Seriously my family was eating from it the whole game day.

Here's what you'll need:

  •  A large baking sheet or serving platter
  • Cardboard boxes, magazine holders, or disposable pans
  • Spice racks, cereal boxes, or DIY dividers
  • Ribbon, tissue paper, banners, toothpicks, football-themed graphics
  • Your favorite chips, dips, candies, and drinks

Instructions:

  1. Building the stadium: I Used bin boxes as dividers and to create compartments for different snacks.
  2. Decorate: You can give your personal touch with ribbons, tissue paper, banners, and other decorations, of your choice!
  3. Fill the stadium: Fill each compartment with your favorite snacks. I opted for hot dogs, mini meatball subs and more!

Tips:
  • Get creative: you can customize your snack stadium with your favorite team colors or themes.
  • Can be any sport: Think Soccer, Baseball, Car racing, Track and Field, Horse racing, etc
  • Make it easy to clean up: Use disposable trays and plates for easy and quick cleanup.

With a little creativity and planning, I was able to create a snack stadium that was the talk of the party. So, many friends, since then have requested directions on how to create one of their own. So get your snacks ready and then get ready for a game day to remember!

I began by using the spice racks I already had in my pantry, which are elevated and resemble a staircase. That’s how I started to plan the stadium. Next, I looked for more containers and discovered some affordable 4 x 9 inch BIN BOXES perfect for storing snacks! I bought them at my local box store, but amazon has them as well.

You could also use magazine holders, or even create your own by cutting cereal or snack boxes at an angle!

I arranged these around disposable pans for guacamole and TOSTITOS® salsa! You can also use a baking dish.

To finish, I placed six bin boxes on each side of the spice racks to form a rectangular/octagonal shape.

I came up with the idea to take some poster board and cut it into strips about 7-8 inches wide and the height of the bin boxes, around 4.5 inches tall. I then cut them to fit perfectly into the gap at the back of the bin boxes.

You can tape them to the boxes if you prefer, but I found that sliding them into the narrow space worked really well. This way, instead of just having 12 compartments for snacks, I ended up with 20! The entire setup measures an impressive 43 x 33 inches. My mind was racing with all of the possibilities! This step is totally optional, but it definitely helped create a rounded Snack Stadium!

I also discovered some football-themed toothpicks. With some of them, I removed the banners, and taped them to ribbons, which I then attached to paper straws. I covered skewers with these straws to make hanging banners! I then simply taped the skewers to the inside of the bin boxes and insert a pennant toothpick into each straw to create flags!

Next, I connected the pennant ribbon to a few of the straw-covered skewers using double-sided tape.  I even cut out a banner from the poster board and decorated it with colored pencils to create the Snack Stadium banner! For a more finished look, you can print out a banner on heavy cardstock.

How to Create a Supreme Snack Stadium!

What You’ll Need:

Start by arranging the bin boxes around the tin foil pans to create a stadium-style seating for your all your delicious snacks. I lined the boxed and empty spaces with green tissue paper for a nice touch, which I had leftover from the holidays. Nothing goes to waste here!

I then placed the snack trays around the cake or baking pan that will serve as the playing field filled with delicious guacamole!

To add height to my guacamole pan, I placed a cupcake pan upside down! I then placed the guacamole pan on top of that to have an even height to the pan’s holding the salsa! I made goal posts using beef jerky sticks, attaching a long piece of jerky to a small block of cheddar cheese with a wooden skewer, and then using toothpicks to form the rest of the posts.

I placed the completed sausage goal posts into small loaf pans filled with salsa to keep them upright!

Just arrange the snack trays however you like, and fill each compartment with your choice of snacks! For example, I added the SNICKERS® Minis on the spice racks to mimic seating and placed TOSTITOS® Scoops in the compartments for dipping. I also filled little cardboard jewelry boxes with Skittles® and spelled out “win!” with different colors of Skittles® to represent fans in the stands.

The corners of my Supreme Snack Stadium were filled with cans of Pepsi™ and Diet Pepsi™ for thirsty sports fans!

On the outside of the Snack Stadium, I used double-sided tape to stick on football graphics that I printed out and used packaging from snacks to create sponsor logos for the big game. Football-themed toothpicks were placed the bin boxes as well.  I even taped a tablet above the stands to create a makeshift jumbo-tron by attaching it to a necklace holder for the perfect display!

Your guests will love checking out the stadium while enjoying all the yummy snacks!

The Snack Stadium was so impressive that when it was taken down, the house felt very empty without it. We all got used to wandering by for snacks, it was a blast!

I set everything up on a football-themed plastic tablecloth, so that when it was time to clean up, I simply removed the tablet and spice racks, then gathered the ends of the tablecloth, and gathered it all up to toss everything in the trash. No leftovers to worry about—everything was devoured anyway!
